Biography
A figurative painter and printmaker informed by her role in teaching Art and Art History.

I am a painter and a teacher of Art and Art History. My role in education often informs my work. I am interested in individuals within society and systems. Much of my work is based around my local environment of East London and I am endlessly fascinated by how pictures work. I paint people and places that interest me and I employ symbolism and art historical references in my imagery, resulting in narratives in settings which combine real, imagined and borrowed features, both in lino print and in paint.
