Biography
As a painter and printmaker, Richard Beer has established a unique and recognisable style. His work, focusing on architectural subject matters, stems from his travels through Italy, France, Spain, and Morocco. Beer studied at the Slade School of Art, the Ecole des Beaux Arts, and at the equally prestigious Atelier 17. Along with his extensive traveling and prolific sketching, Richard Beer also taught at the Chelsea School of Art for 40 years and was a founding member of the Printmakers Council. He was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy and his work is held in such collections as the Tate, Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Government Art Collection.
